# Treasury 5%

50,000,000 $MTA

The Treasury backs development, partnerships, community initiatives and unforeseen needs. It is controlled by the founder, who is accountable for every use of it, and every movement is visible on‑chain.

### **Schedule:**

Locked for 2 months after listing, then released evenly over 12 months (\~4.2M per month).<br>

### **Policy:**

The Treasury is spent on the project, not sold into the pool. If a sale is required for operations, sales in any 7‑day window are capped at 10% of the previous 7 days' trading volume, and every sale is disclosed to the community with its transaction link within 24 hours. The cap is what protects the price; disclosing after the fact rather than before means nobody can trade ahead of the Treasury. The one exception is a major opportunity that requires more — that is put to the community with the reasoning before it is acted on. The Treasury also receives half of the $MTA from every marketplace sale where the maker is paid in cash.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://whitepaper.memetheftauto.com/usdmta-token/tokenomics/treasury-5.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
